Satia Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Satia handles information when you use the Satia mobile app. Satia is a GLP-1 tracking journal for tracking support only. Satia does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, dose changes, treatment decisions, or medication sourcing.

Information You Add To Satia

Satia lets you track information about your prescribed or provider-entered GLP-1 plan and daily context, including:

  • Medication name, dose label, shot day, injection timing, refill timing, pharmacy notes, provider notes, and dose history.
  • Protein, fiber, water, meal context, food notes, meal timing, and editable AI nutrition estimates.
  • Symptoms, flare timing, appetite context, side-effect notes, timed check-ins, and provider questions.
  • Weight, measurements, progress notes, non-scale victories, and optional progress photos you choose from your photo library.
  • Provider export content you choose to generate or share.

Most app records are stored locally on your device unless you choose to export, share, or use an online feature such as AI meal context or AI flare review.

Text And Voice Meal Context

Satia supports text meal context and voice meal context. When you use voice logging, Satia asks for microphone and speech-recognition permission so your spoken meal context can become editable text. Satia does not intentionally store raw voice recordings. The transcript can be edited before analysis or saving.

When you ask Satia to estimate a meal, the app may send the text you entered or dictated, refinement instructions, and prior editable estimates to Satia's backend so the AI service can return protein, fiber, water, calories, ingredients, and flare-review tags. These outputs are estimates for tracking support and can be edited.

Satia's launch food context flow does not use camera food scan, gallery food scan, barcode scan, OCR, or nutrition-label scan.

AI Flare Review

If you request an AI flare review, Satia may send compact evidence from your logs to Satia's backend, including flare timing, recent symptoms, nearby meals, protein, fiber, water, dose timing, and optional Health context if you connected Apple Health. AI flare review is for pattern review and tracking support only. It is not a diagnosis and does not determine treatment decisions.

Apple Health

Apple Health connection is optional. If you choose to connect Apple Health, Satia requests read-only access to weight, sleep, steps, and active energy so those signals can support Progress and flare context. Satia does not write Apple Health data in this build. Manual tracking remains available if you do not connect Apple Health.

Progress Photos

Satia may request photo-library access only when you choose to attach optional progress photos. Satia does not use photos for food scanning in the launch Context flow.

Purchases And Subscriptions

Satia uses RevenueCat and Apple's in-app purchase system to manage subscriptions. These services may process subscription status, product identifiers, purchase history, App Store transaction information, RevenueCat app user identifiers, and related purchase or entitlement data.

Subscription management, cancellation, refunds, and billing are handled by Apple and RevenueCat according to their policies.

Backend, Security, And Usage Data

Satia may send technical information needed to provide and protect AI-backed features, including:

  • App install identifiers and RevenueCat app user identifiers for entitlement and quota checks.
  • Request-signing key identifiers, timestamps, nonces, body hashes, and App Attest registration material for request integrity.
  • AI request route, status, model, mode, quota counters, entitlement/cache status, and backend error codes.

Backend usage logs are designed to avoid raw meal text, raw flare prompts, IP addresses, and app user IDs. Satia may use hashed or operational identifiers to enforce quotas, prevent abuse, monitor reliability, and control costs.

What Satia Does Not Do

Satia does not sell your personal information. Satia does not use third-party advertising tracking in the launch app. Satia does not provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, recommend dose changes, recommend treatment decisions, or help source medications.

Data Retention And Deletion

Local records stay on your device until you edit or delete them, delete the app, or reset the device according to Apple's behavior. Subscription records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their policies. Backend operational records may be retained as needed for security, quota enforcement, debugging, compliance, and cost controls.

For privacy, deletion, or export questions, contact support@satia.app.

Children

Satia is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to Satia, contact support@satia.app.

Security

Satia uses reasonable technical safeguards for launch features, including server-side AI provider calls, no AI secrets in the iOS app, request signing, and gated App Attest validation. No system is perfectly secure.

Changes

Satia may update this Privacy Policy as the product, vendors, or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date will change when this policy is revised.
